Jack hates church. So, when his parents sign him up for the Church Holiday Club he can't imagine anything that could make his holiday worse. (Maybe his parents using him as their personal servant? Oh wait: they do that anyway.) But when a little mishap gets him and Bea kicked out of Holiday Club to help Bob the caretaker, even eating broccoli for a month seems preferable to what his holiday has in store. How will he survive even a day of this? And even if he manages to survive a day, will Bob avoid getting zapped for his weird ideas??

About the Jack & Bea booksJack & Bea books come in threes! The first trilogy follows Jack & Bea as they first meet at the church Holiday Club - with catastrophic consequences! Each book stands alone and explores questions about God, the Bible and church in a fun and engaging way. They are designed for 9-12 year olds, but parents and other adults are welcome to read them too - as Jack says "We've all got questions!" We don't present neatly packaged, sanitised answers but we do tackle important issues: a God of love in a world of suffering, equality, inclusion, disunity, inspiration, heaven and hell, forgiveness, healing, repentance, death, marriage... And if you read the first three series, you'll have walked through the whole story of the Bible as a bonus!
